HCMC Project Description
The opening of the Hennepin Healthcare Clinic & Specialty Center represents more than a relocation of services. Featuring more opportunities for provider collaboration, streamlined workflows and amenities to enhance the patient and provider experience, the center signifies a dynamic shift in the way patients access health care in downtown Minneapolis. Located in the east end of downtown Minneapolis, an area now referred to as East Town, the Hennepin Healthcare Clinic & Specialty Center opens March 26. The opening of the center marks the culmination of years of planning, with an end result that brings together 40 clinical services currently spread across five buildings, standardizes workflows across clinics and celebrates the diverse population cared for here with a spirit of inclusivity. A huge highlight note to this project was the outstanding customer service provided by STARNET Preferred Vendor – Armstrong Flooring. A slight manufacturing flaw was noticed at the beginning of the 120,000sf installation. Armstrong had a technician on site within three days of the notice and immediately started remanufacturing the 120,000sf without an ounce of push back (not common in the flooring industry!) Within two weeks Armstrong trucks were delivering the specified LVP product keeping the massive project on schedule. The GC also had a unique production pod scheduling system that relied on very specific production schedules to stay on track. Armstrong made it possible and made it in the USA! BECKERS installation team’s execution was flawless and on time in the end.
